In 2019, Dr. Ashraf spearheaded the development of the PATH-HIVE framework in collaboration with 17 individuals representing 12 small companies.
The primary objective was to apply for funding through the Innovate UK Smart Grant.
This initiative aimed to validate the PATH-HIVE framework and to create the associated software, with a long-term vision of incorporating an AI component.
A consortium application was submitted, leading to the formation of the PATH (People at the Heart) consortium. Clear and Pragmatic Project Management Solutions Limited played a pivotal role in leading the grant application and consortium. The name PATH was chosen, symbolizing "People at the Heart" for reasons to be elaborated on shortly. Notably, the company's name, 'Clear and Pragmatic Project Management Solutions Limited,' reflects its dedication to providing services in the field of project management.
Since 2019, various external factors such as the COVID-19 pandemic, Brexit completion, and geopolitical events have influenced the PATH consortium. Contact with some members was lost, while new members joined, and overall interests shifted. However, the resilience of the PATH-HIVE framework endures, the interest to support companies and organisations to manage projects effectively and seamlessly remains intact, and the framework has been adapted and refined to the evolving landscape and foster a positive shift in project management.
To clarify, Clear and Pragmatic Project Management Solutions Limited focuses on Business Change and Business Transformation projects, programs, and initiatives, excluding construction and engineering projects.
Did you know that a staggering 85% of such initiatives fail to achieve their objectives? This significant failure rate, or rather a small 15% success rate, is perplexing, particularly considering it has persisted for decades. One of the common recurring factors contributing to the failure of business change projects/initiatives is people.
Shifting to a more positive perspective, in the most challenging business change initiatives, focusing on people rather than purely technical aspects can lead to an almost 100% success rate. This insight and strong belief inspired the creation of PATH-HIVE in 2019. The significance of the "hive" and its transformative potential in the space of project management will become apparent shortly.
